Maître Deschamps joined Daigle & Matte, avocats fiscalistes inc. in 2018, after practicing civil and administrative law at a firm specializing in environmental law in Montreal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Sherbrooke. During his law studies, he had the opportunity to complete three civil law internships, including one at Daigle & Matte, avocats fiscalistes inc. in 2015.

Mr. Deschamps also completed a D.E.S.S. in taxation at HEC Montréal.

Mr. Deschamps practices in tax planning, where he is involved in corporate reorganizations aimed at optimizing the taxation of corporate groups, integrating new shareholders, planning the transfer to the next generation, planning the sale of the company or protecting the company’s assets. He is also involved in a number of agricultural tax issues, and is an accredited professional with Réseaux AgriConseils.

He also practises in the area of business acquisition and sale, where he is called upon to advise his clients in the process of negotiating the offer to purchase, obtaining financing, the share or asset sale agreement, as well as drafting all ancillary agreements.

Finally, Mr. Deschamps practices corporate law, where he is involved in the creation of corporations, partnerships and trusts, as well as the drafting and analysis of various contractual and corporate documents.
